From Germany to Asia: Magali Jeulin of TDUB Joins APRW in Singapore Through IPREX

This is more than just a temporary assignment for me — and in a way, it also represents a new format within IPREX.
In a few days, I will travel from Hamburg, Germany, where I work at TDUB Kommunikationsberatung, to Singapore to join APRW for six weeks as part of the IPREX network. As a dual student at a European PR agency, I am excited to gain first-hand experience of PR in Asia and learn how communication is approached there.
My name is Magali Jeulin and I have been part of the TDUB team for the past three years alongside my dual studies in Germany, where I combine academic learning with hands-on work experience. Over the past three years, studying and working at the same time has shaped me both professionally and personally.

At TDUB, I have learned that effective communication goes far beyond visibility — it is about building reputation, creating relevance, and developing strong strategic positioning.
The idea of gaining experience abroad has been with me for quite some time. I had planned to spend a year in the United States as part of my school education, but this had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. So when I later discovered that there is an IPREX partner agency in Singapore, the idea quickly became much more concrete. After some further research, Karsten made the first call, and this opportunity gradually took shape.
I would like to sincerely thank Anu and Neha at APRW for making this experience possible and for their support throughout the entire process — from visa-related questions to helpful advice on accommodation. I would also like to thank TDUB for providing the organisational and legal framework, as well as Karsten and Tanja for initiating the exchange with APRW, and Alexandra for her ongoing support.
It is very reassuring to know that I will be starting this experience with such a strong local team and within the professional framework that IPREX provides.
During my time in Singapore, I will share updates along the way and look forward to reflecting on my experiences once I return to TDUB in Hamburg.
For me, this is not only a professional opportunity, but also a personal milestone. It will be my first time travelling abroad on my own — stepping into a completely new environment, culture, and language. I am excited to challenge myself, grow beyond my comfort zone, and gain new perspectives that will shape me both personally and professionally.
