Columbus, OH – [AUGUST 2, 2022] The IPREX Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Committee today launched a new webinar to attract diverse college students, graduates, and job seekers to the PR and communications industry. In the ever-evolving field, IPREX and its member agencies are building and sustaining a welcoming culture where diversity, equity and inclusion are prioritized, practiced, and measured.
“The pandemic created chaos in the workplace, leading to a rapid move to remote working and the great resignation,” said Heidi Otway, APR, CPRC, IPREX DE&I Committee Chair and President of SalterMitchell PR. “Our industry was not immune. Through the DE&I Committee, we’ve created a resource to attract and retain diverse talent to our industry by showcasing IPREX member agencies, highlighting their work, and sharing insights about working in an agency. The webinar features people with different lived experiences who have built successful careers in the PR and communications industry.”
