French/West/Vaughan (FWV) is the Southeast's leading public relations, public affairs, advertising and digital media agency, a distinction it has held since 2001. FWV has received 40 Global or National Agency of the Year honors over the past 28 years, including being named the nation’s Best PR Agency of 2024 by a jury of the country’s top journalists.
FWV is the parent company of fashion and lifestyle PR firm AMP3 (New York City), pet and animal health practice Fetching PR; and Prix Productions, a feature film and documentary production company. FWV employs more than 140 public relations, public affairs, social media, advertising, digital marketing and content creation professionals across its five offices nationwide.
In addition to its National Agency of the Year honors, FWV has amassed more than 1,700 PR, advertising and digital marketing awards on behalf of its global roster of blue-chip clients, which include Wrangler, ABB, Proximo, Melitta, Teen Cancer America and the N.C. Rick’s vision and instincts guide FWV’s strategy and implementation, and he makes sure we keep the promises we make to our employees, clients and partners. He is the current chairman of both PBS NC and the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation; and serves on the national board of trustees of Teen Cancer America, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum, the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association and the Veteran Golfers Association. He is past chairman of both the Greater Raleigh Sports Council and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, and previously served on the board of directors of the PR Council and chaired the Public Relations Society of America’s board of ethical practices and standards. He has been named National Agency Leader or CEO of the Year seven times and was inducted into the NC Media and Journalism Hall of Fame in 2018.
