OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

An Art Director is the creative engine of our firm. This person will provide creative support, with an emphasis on leading and enhancing DH’s creative digital deliverables. This may include designing and maintaining microsites, e-mail campaigns, HTML5/digital display ads and more. An awareness of social justice and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) dynamics is important given the range of audiences and communities we support.

Requirements

  • Understand and promote health equity, social justice and DEI concepts
  • Produces senior level, high quality, error-free work
  • Proficiency in latest UI standards and best practices as pertains to websites, email marketing campaigns, digital display ads and other digital mediums.
  • Perform basic website maintenance on WordPress websites (training provided if needed)
  • Design and develop within WordPress. Willingness to learn Divi page builder and suggest other workflows for the creative team.
  • Working knowledge in Adobe suite: XD, Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop,
  • Working knowledge in HTML5, CSS, JS
  • Working knowledge in UX is a plus
  • Working knowledge in motion graphics or video is a plus
  • Conceptual knowledge in app development, AR/VR a plus
  • Partners with DH’s account teams in driving strategy, extending campaign ideas and developing creative
  • Give direction and feedback to Graphic designers and other members of the creative team
  • Collaborates with account and creative staff to refine concepts and copy
  • Vendor coordination with graphic designers, web programmers, photographers, media buyers, freelance consultants, marketing partners, etc.
  • Assists on other accounts as required
  • Leads development of design on client deliverables, from strategy through implementation
  • Works with the project team to identify organic growth opportunities, especially as it relates to digital strategy
  • Works with DH team to create design processes that contribute to agency success

EXPERIENCE

  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar life experience graphic design, product design, web design, UI/UX design
  • Bilingual a plus
