About Walsh Public Relations

Jim Walsh

We provide professional communications and public relations services to support clients in a wide range of business sectors as well as state organisations and NGOs.

These services range from media relations (traditional, social and digital), corporate counselling and business writing to design, print and event management.

Our services are applied in areas of reputation and issues management, internal and stakeholder relations and consumer marketing.

We have developed a strong reputation over the past twenty-five years for combining a high level of service and expertise on behalf of our clients. Evidence of this is the fact that over 50% of our current clients have been receiving a PR service from us for more than 10 years.

Our mission is to deliver an unrivalled public relations service to our clients with a quality and personal approach. We reach and go beyond expectations always achieving the best results.

We have an excellent track record in devising creative public relations programmes.  In 15 years of the Irish Excellence in Communications Awards, Walsh Public Relations has received twelve awards.

Alongside a professional approach, excellent research, implementation and evaluation, we only undertake projects, which our client service executives are enthusiastic about supporting. We view ourselves as an extension of each client’s management team.

A core team, with specialist support when required, gives flexibility in managing resources and tailoring financial arrangements to suit client systems. We are always conscious of the need to provide a cost-effective service and we implement tight financial controls on every project

Walsh Public Relations adheres to the best practice in the PR industry and subscribes to a code of professional conduct.  The company is a founding member of the Public Relations Consultants Association Ireland and its senior executives are individual members of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland and the National Union of Journalists.

We were one of the first Irish consultancies to achieve the Consultancy Management Standard of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA).

Walsh in action - a case study - MS Ireland

Brief

Walsh Public Relations was approached by MS Ireland to create and manage a fundraising event with as little input from or impact on MS Ireland staff as possible.

Solution

A quirky 5km run with mud pits, water holes and plenty of obstacles – think cross country with a sense of humour.

Strategy & Implementation

Secure a corporate sponsor. Walsh Public Relations secured Persil, a natural fit with the event and Persil’s ethos of “Dirt is Good”.

Drive registration through the MS Ireland website.

Implement and manage a creative media campaign to ensure participation level and return for the sponsor.

Oversee the Mud Run on event day.

Result

Over €70,000 raised for the Charity.

"Mud Run was a great idea that turned into a well-organised and well-ren event.  Walsh Publie Relations thought of everything to esure the event ran like clockwork.  The media coverage was fantastic and really gave us a sense of what can be achieved with careful planning".  Ms Taragh Donohoe, Communications Manager, MS Ireland
