About dcp Strategic Communication
Specialists in public relations, public affairs & corporate reputation management

Established in 1995, dcp has a professional - yet down to earth - approach in servicing clients and achieving first-rate results.   We represent around 30 organisations, spanning the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Working both on and offline, our experience, sensitivity, expertise and enthusiasm set us apart from the crowd.  Here’s how….

Our experience:  we have worked with some of the be st known consumer brands, e-business leaders and highly respected corporates, as well as with government agencies and not-for-profit organisations.

Our sensitivity:  we have handled many of the most difficult crises, and the associated fallout in the media, to hit Northern Ireland over the past 20 years.  In the past year alone dcp has dealt with a murder, a dead body, kidnappings, product contamination, bomb scares, fire, flood, redundancy, major theft, pollution and major public disruption.

Gwynneth CockcroftOur expertise:  our highly qualified team offers a breadth and depth of skills and experience second to none, with unparalleled media contacts and a global business perspective.  Between us we have more than 100 years of specialist expertise gained both in-house and in agencies.

Our enthusiasm:  we prefer to work with, rather than for, clients, being seen as an extension of their team, committed to reaching their goals.

With specialist in-house experience, an informed public affairs division and a dynamic PR account management team, dcp are always dedicated communication professionals.

Gwynneth Cockcroft, our managing director, is the main IPREX contact

Gwynneth has been working in the communications field since 1984 and is highly respected for her sharp strategic mind – making her the first point of call for many corporate and government professionals in need of public relations, public affairs or reputation management advice.

dcp in action - a case study - Innotaytors Challenge...

dcp worked with client Tayto, the leading crisp and snack manufacturer in Northern Ireland, to engage the youth market through a schools’ initiative to create a new or modify an existing Tayto product.

dcp secured the main Northern Ireland daily paper as media partner and negotiated an online voting element through the newspaper’s online edition.

A dedicated ‘Innotaytors’ website and targeted social media campaign were also developed.

The competition attracted more than 350 entries from schools across the province.  More than 300,000 votes were cast online – a figure equivalent to almost one fifth of the Northern Ireland population!

The winning concept – ‘Alphabiters’ – tasty letter-shaped snacks - may go into production in the future.
